She RisesΒ β€” ✦ β€”
A Full Moon Circle for the Menopausal Woman

JUNEΒ β€” THE STRAWBERRY FULL MOON

JUNE β€” THE STRAWBERRY FULL MOON
June's full moon is known as the Strawberry Moon β€” named by Indigenous peoples of North America for the season of ripening wild strawberries. It is the first full moon of summer, a moon of sweetness, abundance, and the body's first fruits. It rises at the height of the longest days of the year, when the earth is most alive, most warm, and most generously lit. It is a moon that honors what has been tended and grown β€” and invites us to receive the harvest of our own becoming.
β€” ✦ β€”
AN INVITATION
Once a month, under the light of the full moon, we gather.
She Rises is a sacred monthly circle for women in perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause β€” and for any woman who feels called to gather in the company of like-hearted women, connect to the earth beneath her, and come home to herself.
This is not a workshop. This is not a class. This is a circle β€” a held, sacred space where women breathe together, release together, and remember together. Every month the full moon calls us back. Every month something in you is ready to rise.
β€” ✦ β€”
YOU BELONG HERE
No prior experience with breathwork or any healing modality is needed. She Rises is fully accessible β€” you only need to arrive, lie down, and be willing to breathe. Melissa guides every woman through the experience from beginning to end. Whether this is your first circle or your tenth, you are welcome exactly as you are.
β€” ✦ β€”
WHO THIS CIRCLE IS FOR
She Rises was created for the woman in perimenopause, menopause, or post-menopause who is ready to stop surviving this transition and start moving through it as the portal it truly is. It is also for any woman who feels the pull of the full moon, the call of circle, and the deep knowing that she does not have to do this alone.
If you have been feeling disconnected from your body, overwhelmed by the changes of this season, or simply hungry for sacred time with women who understand β€” this circle is for you.
β€” ✦ β€”
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE CIRCLE
Each She Rises circle follows the same sacred arc β€” a two-hour container that moves from arrival to opening, from depth to integration, from circle to close. Every gathering includes:
A grounding arrival and sacred opening of the circle
A heart-opening meditation with ceremonial cacao
Conscious connected breathwork β€” guided fully from beginning to end
Somatic energy healing to process and integrate what surfaces in the breath
A sharing circle β€” your experience witnessed by other women
Closing of the circle with grounding, integration guidance, and a blessing
The ceremonial cacao is prepared and offered by Melissa as a heart-opening plant ally β€” warming, grounding, and deeply supportive of the breathwork that follows. It is not a psychoactive experience. It is a gentle, nourishing invitation for the heart to open.

OUR CONNECTION TO THE EARTH
For the summer months, She Rises gathers outdoors on the lawn of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City β€” under the open sky, on the living earth, beneath the light of the rising full moon. There is something that happens when a woman lies down on the ground under the open sky with other women. The earth holds her. The moon witnesses her. The breath moves through her like it was always meant to. We are not separate from nature. We are nature. And she remembers that here.
β€” ✦ β€”
A MONTHLY OFFERING β€” COME BACK EVERY MOON
She Rises gathers on the Sunday nearest the full moon, every month. Each circle is complete and powerful on its own β€” you can join for a single evening and receive a full experience. And the women who return month after month find that something deepens. The breath goes further. The releases go deeper. The community of women becomes a true circle of support. You are always welcome to return.
Summer circles (June, July, August) are held outdoors at the Nelson-Atkins Museum lawn. Beginning in September, She Rises moves indoors β€” location to be announced.
